Our expanded and refurbished facility means that we can now offer MOT tests for Class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles. That means that whether you’ve got a car, taxi, light van, minibus up to 16 seats, goods vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes or a motor home up to 5 tonnes, we can do it.
All of our MOT testers are fully trained and certified by the DVSA, using equipment that meets DVSA specifications and are audited twice a year to ensure compliance and consistency to regulations.
We are happy to provide a copy of the MOT standard procedure manual and you are welcome to watch the testing process from our customer lounge via cameras and monitors.
Prioritising your safety
If your car is over three years old it is a legal requirement to have an MOT to ensure that your vehicle meets with environmental and road worthiness standards. However an MOT test certificate by itself does not guarantee the general mechanical condition, safety or legal condition of the vehicle.
At Lambsdon’s, we take the opportunity during your MOT to keep an eye open for any problem that might affect the safe operation of your car and report this to you.
Booking your MOT
An MOT can be conducted up to a month prior to the current MOT certificate running out without losing any time on your existing expiry date. You can book a time and wait while we test your vehicle (usually under an hour) or you can leave your car with us. Either way, we will give your car a complimentary mini valet as part of our service.
